Former Assemblyman Ray Walter Endorses
Karen Healy-Case for Erie County Sheriff
“Karen Healy-Case is the most qualified candidate for Sheriff”
Amherst, NY – On Saturday, June 4th former Amherst Assemblyman and Vice-Chair of the Erie County Republican Party Ray Walter endorsed Karen Healy-Case for Erie County Sheriff.
“Karen Healy-Case is the most qualified candidate for Sheriff and I am proud to endorse her. She has 22 years of law enforcement experience and more than ten years of management experience as a private sector security expert, she understands how to run the office and how to lead. She was a beat cop, a lieutenant, and a police chief with the Buffalo Police Department. Karen has been a committed supporter of the party and has helped us elect strong Republicans across Erie County over the last 10 years.
The bottom line is John Garcia was a Democrat until September 2020, when he changed his affiliation for no other reason than to run in this primary. He never supported Republican candidates in the past, he didn’t donate to them, he didn’t campaign for them, and he certainly didn’t vote for them when he was voting in the 2016 Democrat Presidential Primary for Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. Every action he has taken in this campaign proves that he and his team don’t believe in our party or its principles. Instead, they are willing to tear our Party apart for their own personal gain.
Democrats outnumber us 2 to 1 in Erie County and Garcia and his backers are playing a dangerous game with the safety of our community. Garcia’s and his team are trying to split the ballot – Republican and Conservative – in November against a liberal Democrat. In other words, a vote for Garcia is a vote to elect a defund-the-police Democrat as Erie County Sheriff. A vote for Karen Healy-Case ensures a united Republican & Conservative ticket that will keep our community safe.”
Karen Healy-Case is a proud conservative Republican, a 22-year law enforcement veteran, a private-sector security expert, and a candidate for Erie County Sheriff. She is endorsed by both the Republican and Conservative Parties.
